.random stuff(s)

"Our frustration is greater when we have much and want more than when we have nothing and want some. We are less dissatisfied when we lack many things than when we seem to lack but one thing."

.rambling(s)

it's an irony how people always seem to do things they know will probably make them less happy, yet they persist. maybe it's that sliver of hope that things may turn out different and surprise them. sometimes it's better to not think at all, and just live every moment as it is. simple-minded people tend to be happier, i'm inclined to concur.

how do you tell someone that he's doing some totally unnecessary work without making him feel like a fool? maybe there's no way, just tell him he's a fool. when i ord, perhaps.

.memorable(s)

for the benefit of those who don't know, i work in a reservice unit. today's a charge date, as in, nsmen will be coming in to take orders for offences. one particular nsman is due for a vacation in the detention barracks, hah! sounds interesting? nah, i had to be the escort. ended up handcuffed to a guy with a stale breath, and the remnants of cigarette smoke lingering about him. nonetheless, it was a new experience to send someone to the db, they actually make him strip to the nuts in a room.
